Lexcel requires an initial assessment and then a rolling annual programme of re-assessments.  Annual maintenance visits in years 2 & 3 are followed by a full re-assessment in year 4 and so on...

There are 3 assessment bodies that are accredited by the Law Society to carry out the assessments, but you can approach them, if you wish, via a Lexcel accredited assessor, in order to have the assessor of your choice undertaking your assessment.

Adam has worked in Lexcel accredited firms for nearly 15 years, taking Tuckers through its initial Lexcel assessment and through numerous re-assessment processes.  Understanding the application of the standard from the perspective of a law firm manager enables him to be robust in the application of the standard, but in a way that is sympathetic to the flexible applictation of the standard to firms of different shapes and sizes.
